Democratic Senator Ed Markey has won his third term in the U.S. Senate.
Multiple sources are calling the race for the 80-year-old incumbent after a campaign emphasizing his progressive priorities, including Medicare for All and a Green New Deal.
Markey defeated three general election challengers, including Republican John Deaton, after beating Democratic Congressman Seth Moulton in the primary.
Deaton argued Markey had spent too long in Washington, while Markey campaigned on providing a check on President Trump.
First elected to the Senate in 2013, Markey will serve another six-year term.
