Democratic incumbent Jake Auchincloss has won the race for Massachusetts’ 4th Congressional District seat, the Associated Press projects.
Auchincloss defeated Republican Thomas Stalcup.
Auchincloss, 38, was first elected in 2020 and has emerged as a leader among younger Democrats trying to chart a more moderate path for the party going forward. He has one of the largest campaign war chests in the U.S. House.
The 4th District stretches from Fall River, Taunton and the Attleboros up north to Brookline and Newton, which is Auchincloss’s hometown.
