Lindsay Clancy is scheduled to return to a Massachusetts courtroom today, nearly two months after her prosecution for the murder of her three children ended in a mistrial. 

The hearing could determine if Clancy will be tried again.  Clancy killed her young children in 2023 before trying to take her own life.  The defense argued she was suffering from postpartum psychosis and shouldn't be held criminally responsible.  The jury couldn't reach a verdict because of one holdout juror. 

Now the defense is trying to have the case dismissed, arguing Clancy can't be tried again for the same crime.  The prosecution argues double jeopardy doesn't apply to retrials.
