2nd Taunton shooting suspect ordered held without bail

The second woman arrested in connection with a deadly shooting that happened at a Taunton house party over the weekend faced a judge Friday.

Malkiah Cunningham, 25, of New Bedford, pleaded not guilty to murder and seven counts of assault with intent to murder, according to Bristol County District Attorney Thomas Quinn III.

This comes two days after another New Bedford woman, identified by Quinn as 25-year-old Sienna Barboza, was taken into custody on the same charges. Barboza was ordered held without bail Thursday morning.

Officers rushed to a Weir Street home around 12:30 a.m. early Sunday morning after receiving reports of a shooting with several victims.

In total, eight victims were rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment. Quinn said that one of those victims, identified as 22-year-old Zirovick Depina, died from his injuries several hours later at the hospital.

Quinn said the remaining victims, who are all in their 20s, are expected to survive. Investigators believe the shooting happened during a gathering in the yard outside of the residence.
