The annual “Sales Tax Holiday” will take place in Massachusetts this weekend.
Over those two days, stores will not charge its regular sales tax on most items up to $2,500.
Purchases in store and online qualify for the tax break too.
The following items are still taxable and do not qualify for the sales tax holiday exemption:
- Meals
- Motor vehicles
- Motorboats
- Telecommunications services
- Gas
- Electricity
- Tobacco products
- Marijuana or marijuana products
- Alcoholic beverages
