Lindsay Clancy sobbed into her hands Thursday as a Massachusetts medical examiner testified during her triple murder trial about performing an autopsy on her infant son.

 

The 35-year-old is accused of strangling her three children before trying to take her own life by jumping out of a second-story window back in January 2023.

 

Though Lindsay survived the fall, she suffered a severe spinal cord injury and is now paralyzed from the waist down.

 

 

State medical examiner Dr. Kimberley Springer was the first to take the stand Thursday.

 

Springer explained that she performed an autopsy on Callan and determined his injuries were consistent with ligature strangulation.

 

Plymouth County Second Assistant District Attorney Jennifer Sprague presented Callan’s autopsy photographs while Springer narrated her findings. Lindsay audibly cried throughout Springer’s testimony while burying her face into her hands.

 

Springer concluded the infant’s official cause of death was complications from mechanical asphyxia.
