One person was killed in a crash on I-195 in Westport on Monday afternoon, according to state police.

Troopers responded to I-195 westbound near Exit 16 shortly before 3:30 p.m.

State police said one of the passengers inside a vehicle involved in the crash died from their injuries.

The two right lanes were closed in the area for several hours, but have since reopened.
