A Massachusetts physician is permanently losing her state medical license for participating in the January 6th Capitol riots. 

The medical board says Dr. Jacquelyn Starer punched a police officer after joining the crowd that breached the Capitol. 

Starer pleaded guilty to federal charges, including assaulting or impeding officers, and was sentenced to nine months in prison in 2024. 

Her medical license expired in March 2025 after she had previously agreed not to practice following her arrest.  Starer told a judge she took responsibility for her actions that day and wished reason had prevailed over her emotions.
