Swansea hosting forum on new $100M middle school

The time has come to learn more about the proposed middle school, the biggest new development the town has ever seen, and get your questions answered.

A public forum is scheduled to kick off at 6 p.m. in the Joseph Case Junior High School auditorium at 195 Main St. on Wednesday, July 22.

Residents can virtually ask questions from home or attend the meeting in-person, where discussion will revolve around the project’s merits and provide concrete numbers related to tax implications.

At the July 14 meeting, the Swansea Board of Selectmen voted unanimously to approve placing the project’s funding as an item on the warrant for the fall Town Meeting, on Oct. 19, 2026. The Select Board also approved the project for a ballot question this November.
