The Prince Henry Society Fall River Chapter will host its annual fundraising golf tournament on Monday, Aug. 17, at the Fall River Country Club, with a new start time of 11 a.m.

 

Proceeds from the event will support the society’s scholarship program. This year, $23,500 will be awarded in scholarships to 21 area high school students of Portuguese descent.

 

“The scholarship program is one of many programs the PHS sponsors for the betterment of our local community,” Fall River PHS President David Rocha said. “However, our success can only be made possible through the generosity of our sponsors and supporters.”

The cost to participate as a golfer is $200 and includes a boxed lunch, 18 holes of golf and a dinner reception. Current Fall River Country Club members may participate for $125.
