Police arrested a Fall River man accused of assaulting a school bus driver in front of several young children Tuesday morning.

Aaron Jamahl Whitehead, 31, was taken into custody Wednesday evening in Stoughton. He’s been charged with assault and battery on a person over the age of 60, witness intimidation, malicious destruction of property and disorderly conduct.

Randolph Police Chief Anthony Marag said officers were called to Avalon Drive just before 8:30 a.m. Tuesday after receiving a report about a school bus driver being attacked.

Marag said the officers noticed several parents in the parking lot who appeared “visibly shaken and upset.”
