One local area is saying their goal is to increase patrols. According to ABC 6 in Providence, Raynham Police Department are increasing their patrols in recognition of Distracted Driving Awareness Month. The department said they received a grant from the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security’s Office of Grants and Research to increase the number of patrols watching for distracted drivers. The Raynham Police Department offered tips to stay free of distractions when driving for local and traveling individuals such as if you Are expecting a text or need to send one, pull over and park in a safe location off the roadway.
