The Jumper Located

The Fall River Fire Department has confirmed to WSAR that a Marine Unit has located the body of the person who jumped from the Braga Bridge last week.

In a text to WSAR and various media outlets, Fall River Fire Chief John Lynch indicated the body was located around 11:15 Monday Morning, in the same area occupied by the U-S-S Battleship ''Massachusetts'' in the Taunton River on the Fall River Waterfront.

The Bristol County D-As office has not released the I-D of the person who parked his car on the bridge last week, and then climbed over safety barriers.

The Budget Hearings Round Four

The Fall River City Council, with an eye on the calendar this week, will be in Council Chambers tonight on the Second Floor of Government Center, with decisions left to be made regarding the Fiscal Year 2018 Budget, with questions remaining on water and sewer line items, as well as Police and Fire.

Its likely that motions will be made later tonight to begin to reduce certain line items, as doubts have been raised among the nine members as to the revenue projections upon which this budget is based.
