42ND STREET EXTENDED THROUGH MAY 18

 

WARWICK, RI – Ocean State Theatre Company (OSTC), currently celebrating its first full season in its new state-of-the-art theatre in Warwick is pleased to announce that due to unprecedented demand, the run of the tap-dance extravaganza, 42nd Street, the closing production of the 2013-14 season, has been extended through May 18.Tickets are also available online 24 hours a day at www.OceanStateTheatre.org and via telephone during normal box office hours by calling (401) 921-6800.

 

 

RUMMAGE AND BAKE SALE

There will be a rummage and bake sale sponsored by the W.A.M.S. WARWICK, RILooking for something to do with your kids during the winter and spring? Why not introduce them to the magic of live theatre at the new state-of-the-art Ocean State Theatre in Warwick! Ocean State Theatre Company’s Family Fun Fest features a variety of performances, being held on select Saturday mornings from December through May.

 

The Family Fun Fest Schedule features the following performances:

 

April 5 – Bruce Kalver presents Magical Moments: A Magic Show for All Ages!

Words like “unbelievable,” “amazing,” and “impossible” have been used to describe Bruce’s magic. He entertains and amuses audiences with his sleight of hand and manipulative skills and performs miracles with everyday objects like balls, cards, coins, and ropes as well as presenting wonders with magical props from around the world. With his years of experience and easy going manner, Bruce charms his audience with comedy, colorful, visual magic tricks, and lots of audience participation.

 

 

Clam Boil Scholarship Fundraiser on April 6, 2014

The Lebanon American Ladies Auxiliary will hold their annual Scholarship Clam boil Fundraiser at Lepages Seafood Restaurant,  at 439 Martine Street, Fall River.   The delicious, traditional New England Clam boils  will be served on Sunday, April 6th. from 12 Noon - 4 pm.   Ticket Price is $20.00.     Enjoy your meal with your family at Lepages Restaurant or “Take it To Go”

Fall River Rockfest 2014

Saturday, April 19th 7pm 
 

The event is Fall River Rockfest 2014, hosted by American Idol contestant Erika Van Pelt. The event features four rock bands including Tester, who is nominated for four music awards, including best vocalist and best live performance.
Event will be held at Durfee High School Auditorium.
 
Proceeds go to Jojo's Boxing Academy to continue their program of providing free fitness and boxing training to troubled teens.

Families encounter baby goats from Harmony Homestead (West Greenwich, RI), a lively llama from Lladyllove Llamas (Foster, RI), a soft sheep and her lambs from Maybe Tomorrow Farm (Chepachet, RI) and chickens from Cluck! Urban Farm and Garden Supply (Providence, RI) in the Museum’s Children’s Garden.  Children ride ponies from Paine Farm (Foster, RI) and meet experts from Rhode Island farms, who demonstrate washing, carding, dying and spinning animals’ soft wool into yarn.

 

 

Newport Craft Beer Festival 2014 - Newport, RI
April 26, 2014 to April 26, 2014 

Great Friends Meeting House, 21 Farewell Street, Newport

Two sessions; 30 breweries, 900 guests. The event will feature Rhode Island craft brewers but also will offer beers from across the US. Sample many styles from 30 breweries and chat with the people who make them. Taste the difference between a stout and a porter, learn about yeasts and aroma, and more. Neighborhood restaurants from the Broadway section of Newport, will serve tasting portions. Tickets include admission, unlimited beer samples, live music and a souvenir glass. Providing a variety show that includes magic, juggling, comedy, and audience interaction, LuckyBob’s uncanny magic and juggling skills take audiences on a roller coaster of laughs, cheers and smiles, while he juggles random objects, reads minds, pulls cards out of the air, and vanishes objects. Superb, sophisticated and stylish, LuckyBob leaves audiences wanting more!

 

The annual Lebanese Festival "Mahrajan" at St. Anthony's Maronite Catholic Church
June 7th
at 375 Island Pond Road in Springfield Ma. It will be held on the grounds Sat June 7th 2014 from 12 noon to midnight and June 8th 2014 from 12 noon to 6pm. Admission and Parking is free to all.
Our goal is to share some of our heritage with the community and surrounding areas.
Some festival activities will include authentic Mediterranean food and sweets,activities for the children, belly dancing performances, entertainment by Amin Sultan and Ensemble.
