Correia Sets Up a Potential Recall

Fall River Mayor Jasiel Correia II told his supporters via Social Media Platfroms on Wednesday that they were in ''campaign mode'', as the two term Mayor refused to resign, setting up a potential recall election that will likely happen in Mid March.

In a letter that was transmitted via Twitter and Facebook, Correia touted his desire to end the Pay As You Throw Program, which the nine member City Council decided to retain in the current 2019 Fiscal Year Municipal Budget.

Correia all but challenged citizens to engage in a recall effort days after his federal indictment was unsealed, in which was he charged with nine allegations of wire fraud and four of filing false income tax returns.
