The Certification is Complete

The Fall River City Council will meet for their final regularly scheduled session for 2018 this coming Tuesday in Government Center,  with one central question to answer, after the magic number of 2510 certified registered signatures of Fall River voters was met and exceeded, as more than double that number of signatures were ultimately counted.

Council must now set a date for the Second Recall Election since 2014, this time aimed at Fall River Mayor Jasiel Correia II, who also faces a 13 count Federal Indictment on allegations of Wire Fraud and Filing False Tax Returns.

Contenders for Mayor, who will include the current Mayor, must secure 300 signatures of registered voters, which then must be certified, under the provisions of the current Fall River City Charter.
