Fall River Opiod Event

On Thursday, April 27, from 4:30 to 6:30 pm, the City of Fall River and Recover Fall River will co-sponsor a special event in the lobby of Government Center. Local and regional groups will come together to provide immediate assistance to anyone who struggles with opioid abuse or addiction or their family members.

The goal of the event is to provide opportunities to access treatment and to work toward recovery.

Participants include Adcare, Gone Too Soon, Southbay Mental Health, SSTAR, Seven Hills Behavioral Health, Fall River EMS, HealthFirst, New England Addiction Treatment Center, Peer 2 Peer Recovery Center, Veterans Services, High Point Treatment Center, Learn 2 Cope, Community Counseling of Bristol County, Solid Ground Psychotherapy and Hearts of Hope, among others.

Providers will be able to assist individuals and family members who are at any point along the treatment continuum, from acute detox to overdose prevention to recovery coaching to certified sober living. Specialized services, as for veterans, the elderly or adolescents, will also be available.

The providers at the event will be able to immediately engage those seeking assistance and can initiate services quickly, as needed.

The event is coordinated by Recover Fall River, an independent community coalition. For more information, please contact Laurie at 508-415-8841 or email to recoverfallriver@gmail.com
