ABOUT PATRICK STONE...
Patrick Stone is a Fall River native, current Marketing and New Media Specialist for Bristol Community College, and the host of “OnCourse with BCC” on WSAR.

Patrick graduated from Durfee High School in 2004 and, from there, enrolled at BCC with an aspiration to go into journalism. It was during his final year in the Communication program that he started an internship at...how ironic…1480 WSAR!

After a four month stint reporting on sports, Patrick was hired at 19 years old to be the lead news anchor for the legendary, local station. Two years later, while a full-time student at Bridgewater State University, he moved into the Production Director’s seat where he stayed until August of 2011.

Proving that you can go home again, Patrick returned to BCC in 2011 and began his current marketing position with the College Communications department, specifically focusing on the BCC eHealthCareers program in downtown New Bedford. With a passion for local media that was shared by the college, he decided to suggest something that he had somehow managed to avoid for six years working in radio:
“Why don’t we do a show on WSAR all about BCC? Heck…I’ll host it!”

And with that, he was a radio host. He just didn’t work in radio anymore.

Patrick is still a Fall River resident and has hobbies that include street hockey, trivia, and attempting to quote every episode of “The Simpsons” ever made.
(He’s getting close)
