Battleship Cove is dedicating this day to women in the service, as well the women who served in civilian work. Chat with living historians, former WAVES and “Rosies,” watch a welding demo and listen to a keynote presentation from an outstanding woman veteran. Children can bring a doll and make it a Rosie or Red Cross Nurse outfit in the FUNshop — $5 in addition to general admission. The Herald News will have a special photo booth where people can jump in and take a Rosie picture, or try on a sailor costume.
